Storyline

On September 11, 2001, while talking to their U.S. based daughter via telephone, the Kaul family is thrilled to know that she is expecting a child soon, but their conversation is interrupted by the terrorist attack on the World Trade Centre. Both her sister and her husband perish in that attack. The Kaul family is devastated. They take some time to recover, and arrange their other daughter, Anupama's, marriage with Arpit Oberoi, who runs an advertising agency. Anupama and Arpit like each other, and are happy with this arrange marriage. While travelling by train, Anupama meets Aman, a plainclothes officer working with an anti-terrorist organization, and falls in love with him. She loses interest in Arpit, and even in her family. When her family find out about Aman, they decide to meet him, and realize that there is no such person as Aman, leaving Anupama to be the only one to vouch for his presence.

Whenever there is a new concept in Hollywood, people do get inspired all over the world and Hindi cinema is no exception. There were films made dealing with 'Split personality' in Hindi but only few of them really pay tributes to the concept and one of them was Deewangee. It is well known that concept by itself is always good and appealing but a worst implementation does spoil the concept and drive audiences away. One such worst execution of a beautiful, poetential story line was greatly demonstrated in Chaahat ek nasha by none other than Partho Ghosh of Agni Sakshi fame. this brings me to the film "Madhoshi".

This film is evidently based on the concept of "Beautiful mind" based on the life of a mathematical genius John Nash (played by Russel Crowe). I have not seen the English movie for my weakness in English. The heart of the story is the 'disease' Schrizophernia. It is said that there is no known cure of the disease. Given this non-existence of a successful method of treating a patient with such a problem, one tries their own method/attempt. Hence we should not laugh at any such method as it is very case specific.

I must say that the treatment of the subject is first rate. Now I am motivated to see 'beautiful mind'. I recommend Madhoshi to all those who want to see 'beautiful mind' but cannot follow the language. This Indian version is good enough by itself that deserves a watch!

Storyline

Dhamaal Movie Reviews

'Dhamaal' is a mad, zany, silly but truly hilarious comedy film, that hasn't lost its touch even after nearly a decade since its release. I have seen this cult-classic many times & the film only gets funnier each time I re-watch it. 

'Dhamaal' Synopsis: Four good-for-nothing companions & a corrupt cop embark on a journey to find a hidden treasure in Goa. 

Heavily inspired by the all-time hit It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, 'Dhamaal' offers genuine laughs & tickles your funny bone all through. The characters & their journey as one, is definitely silly, but the sequences are so hilarious, that you are on the floor laughing! The gags, one after the other, are so funnily written, that its impossible not to laugh. 

Bunty Rathod's Screenplay borrows heavily from the above-mentioned film, but it works entirely. A special mention for the crackling dialogue. Indra Kumar's Direction is good. He deserves kudos for not letting the pace drop at any given time. Cinematography & Editing are fair. Music by Adnan Sami is excellent.

'Dhamaal' works because of its terrific casting. Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Aashish Chaudhary & Jaaved Jaffrey are a riot! Their on-screen chemistry as well as their comic timing, is masterful. Jaffrey, especially, is top-notch. Sanjay Dutt is his usual self. Asrani brings the house down. He's another topper! Vijay Raaz, Suhasini Mulay, Sanjay Mishra, Manoj Pahwa & The Late/Great Vinay Apte are superb in bit roles. 

On the whole, Wanna laugh-out-loud? Watch 'Dhamaal'. Its pure fun!

Storyline

Mentally he is 13, very normal, but physically he looks five times older. In spite of his condition, Auro is a very happy boy. He lives with his mother Vidya (Vidya Balan) who is a gynecologist. Amol Arte (Abhishek Bachchan) is young, progressive and a full-of-ideals politician. He is out to prove to the world that 'politics' is not a bad word. He is a man with a mission. Auro is Amol's son.

Paa Movie Download Reviews

R Balki directs 'Paa', a film I was very interested to watch. At first, the promos did not impress me and I expected to see a pretentious film at best, but the positive reviews and several recommendations made me finally catch this one. The film was a pleasant surprise: nice and simple, but somehow I still expected something else. R Balki did a very good job in terms of both writing and direction. The film's story is well-written and told, the execution is steady, and the dialogues are witty and light. But at some point I did feel that something was missing there. Don't know what. Maybe something in the portrayal of Auro's relationship with his mother could have been better done, though I liked how Balki portrayed his friendship with school kids, particularly a boy named Vishnu.

Bachchan's casting in the role of Auro, which created a lot of buzz and curiosity pre-release, was brave and bold, but frankly speaking, it would have been more interesting to see a child actor playing Auro. I say that while considering the many young talents in the industry who could have easily been suitable for the part. Bachchan is somewhat overly tall for the role and since all of us know Auro is played by the great Amitabh Bachchan, it reduces the level of credibility in the film's authenticity, and many may feel it was made to showcase his greatness and to evoke such reactions as "wow! He plays his son's son!"

But Bachchan does not disappoint. He manages to make Auro a likable character with his under-toned line delivery, expressive eyes and simplicity. A lesser actor of his age could have played the role in an overly childish manner with exaggerated mannerisms and noticeable attempts to overdo and emphasise the character's young age and disease symptoms. But not Bachchan. Hardly recognisable under this heavy mask of make-up, he naturally transforms into a little, intelligent kid of our times and is thoroughly convincing.

Abhishek Bachchan, playing his real-life father's father is strictly okay in a role that is not very deep or demanding but still contributes to the film significantly. Vidya Balan is excellent as Vidya, the caring and loving mother who is also an assertive and independent career woman. Balan acts with grace and restraint and she is natural and compelling throughout. And she is absolutely stunning in her traditional Indian looks. Arudhati Nag is fine and effective as Vidya's supportive mother. The child who plays Auro's best friend Vishnu is simply adorable. I particularly liked a scene in which Auro and Vishnu have a phone conversation, and Vishnu sharply criticises his father. That was hilarious!

Coming to the music, Ilayaraja composes a lovely, classical and joyful soundtrack for the film which gives it a very light and feel-good mood. The editing and the cinematography are well-done. Towards the end, 'Paa' is a bit emotional. It neither made me shiver nor tear, but it still was efficient and moving. I recommend you to watch 'Paa' with family or friends. Do not plan to either hate or love it. If you watch the film trying to ignore this wow factor, you will definitely enjoy it and will probably be able to appreciate Balki's efforts to make a lightly dramatic episode about one young boy and his relationships rather than a socially educative film on progeria. Just enjoy this witty, interesting and refreshing piece.

josh!!! means vigour. this movie almost fulfil expectations it got before release. in this movie shahrukh looks like a great. aishwarya is best part to watch in picture.sharad kappor also look good. he will get benefit from movie. chandrachud singh tried well. he also will make benefit from this movie. i like the character of bheja-fry. and dialogues of movie is also good. music is fair. songs hai mera dil, hum bhi hai josh main, and best of them apun bola is good. others are not as well but will do. people belonging to this movie hardly needing hit. let's hope time has come. Storyline

Only trouble is that Munna may have problems convincing everyone about this presence - as he is apparently is the only one who can see and hear him.

Probably, this is the best movie sequel ever produced in the Hindi cinema and surely would be one of the top ten comedy Hindi movies of all times. I can't remember if any comedy movie (hindi or other) ever been able to deliver such a strong message in such a subtle and non-preachy manner. Coming out of the cinema hall, you can't help from having that huge delightful smile on your face.. This movie isn't a sequel in its true sense; apart from the characters of Munnabhai and Circuit, there is nothing in common with its predecessor (unarguably, the movie would not have been possible without these two characters as in their original form). 

Few reasons which turn it to a must watch movie:

1) awesome movie, with astounding screenplay, story, characterization and many other things. Its a 100% clean movie with no risqué dialogues, no item number, no vulgar dresses and no vulgar scenes, which is an achievement in today's times. 

2) Performance of Munnabhai and Circuit duo - Sanjay dutt is undoubtedly the most lovable bollywood bhai, he is bit old now but still going very strong and Circuit has come up with his magic yet again, this guy's timing of dialogues is perfect... In all, the duo rocks!!!!!!! 

3) Strong, strong and very strong message delivered... I won't delve much onto this or else risk disclosing the story and henceforth the fun... Everybody is going to respect Mahatma even more after watching this movie - bet you are going to love that enigmatic smile 

4) Jhanavi (Vidya Balan)... such a graceful beauty, her face is like bright morning light; gosh, the lady literally smiles with her eyes, you are bound to fall in love with this gurl, just like Munnabhai.. apart from that she acts very well and gives a strong performance... 

There are many more things that make this movie memorable and a treat to watch.... surely, something to watch before you die :-)

Rahul Movie Reviews

"Rahul" is no Bollywood highlight, but it stays watchable during its 153 minutes running time. The set up is the more boring, yet the more charming part of the film. It introduces us to the title character, a 5 year old boy called "Rahul" who lives with his father Akash (former model Jatin Greval). Those early minutes show us how much Akash loves his son - and how much that guy works out. The girls in the audiences will surely appreciate Greval's perfectly structured body but one starts wondering whether this is supposed to be a workout video or a movie. Well, anyway, there's one dance and song number in which we see Akash and his ex-wife Mira (Netha) fooling around on the beach and in the rain. It really pays of there that the two are so great looking. It borders on some sort of textile commercial, but it sure is pleasing to the eyes.

The story continues and we learn that Akash and Mira are divorced. Akash tells Rahul that his mother was a very bad person and that's why they separated. The film doesn't reveal if this is the truth, though. Rahul of course decides one day that he wants to find out for himself. He looks for his mother, finds her and visits her without Akash knowing about it. She is not evil at all and tells her son the truth about the divorce.

Now, the problems start. Not just for Rahul, but also for the film. One reason for that is that we now lose all emotional contact. Both parents are selfish and not fully likable. The other problem is the turnaround in Akash's character. It is unbelievable that the film now portrays him as some sort of minor bad guy, when before, we saw him caring for his boy and loving him with all his heart. The film wants us to believe, that a father alone cannot be enough for a child. Of course we all want that every child gets 2 parents, but sometimes, fate decides otherwise and single-parents try their very best to support their children. So does Akash. But the film wants to be conservative. It wants to promote marriage even if it means throwing the characters and the plot around.

The ending is the most contrived in a series of contrived events. It's not terrible, but tiresome. Granted, you have to shed some tears at the end, but the film doesn't fully deserve it. Overall, I'd say you can watch it for good performances, some sexy scenes in the beginning and a story for the heart. But don't expect to be blown away.

Meanwhile, a drifter and artist named Jack Dawson and his best friend Fabrizio De Rossi win third-class tickets to the ship in a game. And she explains the whole story from departure until the death of Titanic on its first and last voyage April 15th, 1912 at 2:20 in the morning.

Titanic Movie Reviews

I saw this movie opening day and it took my breath away. James Cameron's fictional story of Jack and Rose entwined with real life occurances was haunting and absolutely beautiful. He is an amazing director and writer that this movie would not have worked without him.

Kate Winslet was stunning as Rose and this movie belonged to her as you couldn't imagine anyone else playing this role.

Leonardo DiCaprio was really good as Jack and he should have had an an Oscar nomination for this role and the ever brilliant Billy Zane didn't disappoint in his role as Rose's fiance Cal. His portrayl of Cal was so evil that despite being an awful person, you couldn't help but feel sorry for him, especially when despite all his doings he loved Rose so much.

James Horner's music was just as haunting and he always lifts the movie he works on to the ultimate level.

Kathy Bates was equally impressive in a small role and provided quite a few of the laughs of the film. 

Everything from the special effects, to the sets to the costumes were pure magic.

This would have to be one of the most wonderful films of the 20th Century and one that will never be forgotten.

Storyline

After the passing away of his dark-skinned wife, from who they sired Uday, Dubai-based criminal don, Shankar Shetty re-married a fair-skinned woman, who gave birth to fair-skinned Sanjana. After the couple's passing, Uday takes over in his dad's footsteps, and takes it upon himself to try and get Sanjana married - in vain, as no one wants to be associated with a crime family. Then Uday's associate, Sagar Pandey, aspiring live-action painter, who had loved Iravati, got beat-up by her brothers, and was re-named Majnu, assists in finding a young man, Rajiv, who lives with his maternal uncle, Dr. Ghunghroo and aunt, and through extortion compels Ghunghroo to accept this alliance. But Ghunghroo, at the very first opportunity, gets Rajiv to fall in love with another young woman in Sun City, South Africa. When the time comes to get Rajiv formally engaged to this woman, he finds out that Sanjana and she are the very same woman. With no escape from this predicament, the wedding is planned.....

I'm making no pretense about this movie. The fact that Akshay keeps racking up the hits shows me there are an awful lot of people who are eager to spend their money for pure escape. So this movie is an honest transaction with no claims to art. For the millions who want what it offers, they can go without fear they will regret it. To me, the thing I liked best was the female cast. It is rare for a movie to bring together such an eyeful. I was sold by the trailers that showed Malaika, Katrina, and Mallika. And the movie delivered.

One comparison I'll make is with Kyon Ki and Garam Masala. When I watched those movie there were many moments when I was stopped by "what in the world were they thinking?" By contrast, I didn't really have those moments in Welcome. Also, Anil, Nana, and Feroze really added to the comedy. All three of them are solid performers. In fact, I'd say Malaika, Katrina, Mallika, Anil, Nana, and Feroze were the best things I found in the movie. No wonder it rang up such high sales.
